This is a followup to our previous post http://deadscreen.net/why-brian-griffin-isnt-truly-dead-and-will-be-back-soon/

The day after Brian Griffin got killed we laid out the groundwork of why it wasn’t true.

1. Too many Back to the Future references (True)

2. The car that hit Brian was vague (Ended up not being relevant)

3. Stewie time travels to the future to buy himself a present (True)

4. Coke conspiracy aka free PR (The reason why this all happened)

The reason why Family Guy decided to “kill off” Brian and then bring him back. Ratings! Just look at their search terms alone were declining since 2009 and then you see that sharp rise once they “killed” Brian off.

Their viewership actually rose by a million viewers the episode after the one where they killed Brian.

Which brings us to our last point.

In cartoons you can make animals talk, people fly, growths sprout legs and turn into miniature versions of you, and time travel is a real possibility. So please don’t make such compulsive decisions based on cartoons (and what I can only imagine was an egregious amount of alcohol) because one day you may regret that tweet and of course that tattoo.
